For him, it was good cheese fondue, chocolate fondue and one was an counterfeiting, something against nature. Any notion of Americans as an uneducated savage, decadent and people should have been confirmed in his eyes.
However, we have chocolate fondue, and I am eternally grateful. More precisely, we have to thank Konrad Egli, a Swiss (!) Chief who created New York restaurant Swiss Chalet in 1964. He had begun prior to popularize fondue through more traditional restaurant with both the style and method of cheese cooking meat cubes hot oil (fondue).

Fondue originated in the mountains Switzerland, where poor farmers have little to support them, with the exception of gruyere cheese, bread and wine. The rural poor. Fondue Bourguignonne, by contrast, is a French creation. Born of necessity, a medieval monk under the name of the Putzxe Johann had the idea. He has worked in the vineyards of Burgundy and needed a convenient way to eat the grapes at harvest. A pot of hot oil which can be set near wet and tasty morsels of meat Cook, while he worked was the solution.

Various styles of cheese fondue are available, such as the Mediterranean (Cheddar, beer and sun-dried tomatoes) and smelly Rose (Swiss wine and garlic). For the fondue, exotic meats like wild boar and ostrich are offered, and tasty dipping sauces.
The chocolate fondue, however, is to die for. With your choice of chocolate (milk, sour or white) and flavorings (Amaretto, Irish Cream and others), can dunk in pieces of snicker bars, marshmallows, strawberries, apples, bananas and biscuits.
